Max's Race...

We told you last week about our friend, Tim, who is doing a triathlon on July 1st and raising money for Max's trust.  We have been so thankful for the funds he's already been able to raise and are excited to cheer him on.  We have come up with an idea for all of us, including Max, to encourage him that day.


On July 1st, while Tim is doing the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle, and 26.2 mile run, Max will be joining him.  We wish we could all get on a jet and make it to the finish line to cheer Tim through, but that's not a possibility for Max.  


So on July 1st, we will do 1/10th of the triathlon Tim is doing.    Max can not run, swim, or bike on his own, so we'll be his legs and arms....and he'll get to go along for the ride.  


That will make it 15 laps in the pool (.24 mile swim), 11.2 mile bike ride, and a 2.6 mile run.  We have not been training for half a year, so we may spread it out throughout the day, in a few different locations depending on weather.  We have a pool in the neighborhood, and will put Max in a little boat for the swim, and likely do it early in the morning so the pool is not too full.  For the run, and bike ride, depending on the heat, or unlikely chance we'll have rain, we will see where we do that bit.  But, we will do it.
