Middle School and Bowling...

It's been a busy week around here.  Max got to visit his new middle school this week.  I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I have a child who is nearly a senior in high school, and now my baby is going to be in middle school!

It was important for us to introduce Max to his new teachers before the school year next year, so we will hopefully have an easier transition.  Max was excited to go, but was having a pretty miserable day with his allergies, so the whole time we toured the school, he had me wiping his running nose!

He saw the lockers, and met a couple of his new teachers.  His homebound teacher came with us and helped us explain how Max does school.

Max was feeling so poorly, I was sure he was going to miss his last field trip with his elementary school the next day.  But, it was nothing a little bit of sleep didn't take care of.  Max woke up at 6:45 ready to go to his field trip.  He had to wait a couple of hours, but was all smiles on the way there, and while we were there.

Max's teacher set him up with a few of his friends who are in his class, and they made sure he had a great time. The girls would help get the ramp set up, positioned right in front of him and aim where it needed to be to knock down the pins. Then they would pick up his leg and push the ball down the ramp and then they all cheered the whole way.  If he knocked down one pin or all ten they cheered.

One of Max's friends made him a special name badge.  They all know he loves Batman!

Next week end his school year with his homebound teacher.  Then the next week is the last week of elementary school.  Don't worry, I've stocked up on my kleenex!
