Pancakes for Max...

Max woke up extra early on Saturday morning.  He was so excited to get to see his friends, he woke up at 4:00am.  The reason for seeing friends so early on a Saturday was a special event they were putting on for Max.

Max's school put on a pancake fundraiser for Max's lift fund.  Parents, and grandparents, neighbors and friends of Max all came to our local Applebee's for all you can eat pancakes.  Max's classmates (and their parents) and teachers all rolled up their sleeves and served pancakes, filled coffee cups, and cleared tables in an effort to raise funds for Max.  It was an incredible success.  They raised over $2,000 in those two hours for Max's special needs trust.

Max had to wear a mask around all the coughs and sneezes, but each time I'd sneak a peek under his safety covering, I would see our guy grinning his big happy grins.  He loved seeing all of his friends and teachers.
I took the mask off for a quick photo opportunity!

It was controlled chaos with the students, but they all had such great fun!

Thank you to Applebee's in Broomfield for your willingness to open early for this wonderful community event!

His smile was worth the early wake-up call!  Thank you to Applebee's, the parents and teachers at Cotton Creek, and the amazing parents who put it all together.
