HOME!

Max was discharged from the hospital about mid-day today. We made it home in time to eat lunch at home. He will need to be on IV antibiotics at home for the next three weeks. He will have follow-up appointments with all of the involved specialties over the coming weeks to ensure he continues to heal.

Max ate and slept since we've been home. Two different nurses (normal home health nurse then IV nurse) came to the house in the afternoon then evening to make sure he was covered on the things he needs at home to recover.

The rest of us cleaned up. Cooked meals. Made phone calls. We did stuff you get to do when you are home.

We'll have some more pictures and stories of the last couple of days soon but tonight we're each excited to sleep in our own beds.
