Extubation Day...

Extubation Day has come and gone without much fanfare around here. Max is sick with a cold that evidently "everyone" has right now. Of course, Steve and I aren't sick, which is helpful to not have to be sick and take care of all of the extra stuff with Max.

We celebrate December 1st each year as Extubation Day, the day Max coughed the tube out and avoided a life altering tracheostomy tube. It's been 4 years since we faced that awful time, and he's doing so well.

So a day late, and a mommy's memory calls for a HAPPY EXTUBATION DAY!!!! We're so glad you coughed that tube out buddy!

Now on to a bath to try to break this fever, poor guy hasn't been able to get under 100 in a couple of days. We're going into Children's in about an hour to get an opinion on if we should be treating differently.

Praise God for these small miracles that we see daily in our Max's life.
