EOE Check-up...

Max had an early morning appointment with his GI doctor for a scope to see how the EOE is looking. We were able to have the scope done with him out of anesthesia for the first time because his doctor tried the nasal scope through his gtube button.  Max handled it all really well, but that probably had a lot to do with his awesome GI doctor.

Dr. J. always has a potty joke for Max, which he thinks is hilarious.  Today's joke was:
"Why did the car's belly hurt? Because it was full of gas!"

Max was all smiles, and only got a little bit fussy at us having to help hold him still for the procedure. We were able to see he's gained more weight, which has been a goal these past months.  His height has really slowed in the past year...and dare I hope we may have him stick around 5 feet?

Once we got him home he was pretty tired and just felt like resting on and off the rest of the day.  It was a good visit and we'll have the results in a couple of weeks.  Just in time for us to go in for eye tests and his MRI.  Summertime = hospital time unfortunately, because we can't take him in during cold and flu season.  It's busy with appointments but soon we will be finished with them and Max can enjoy summer!

He's a handsome kid -- congrats on doing the procedure without anesthesia!
