Understanding Politics...

To say that I disagreed with Rick Santorum's political views, would be an understatement.  He spoke a political language I don't understand.

But, today when I listened to his short speech about suspending his run for the office of President of the United States, I heard a familiar voice.

"This was a time for prayer and thought over this past weekend," Santorum said. "Just like it was when we decided to get into this race... we were very concerned about our role of being the best parents we possibly could to our kids," Santorum said...   (abcnews.com)

Oh...now, this I get.  I TOTALLY get this. Now we're speaking the same language.

He also acknowledged the decision was not entirely political, saying the past weekend was a "time of prayer and thought" as he and his family cared for his daughter Isabella, the youngest of Santorum's seven children, who suffers from Trisomy 18, a chromosomal condition. (cnn.com)

Dreams, goals, and plans...suspended.

Not crushed, not forgotten...just suspended.

For something more important.

Something that is here right now, to be cherished in this moment.  Something that can go away in a blink.

Yes, I get that.
