Max is sick...

I have been updating Max's facebook page and forgot to mention anything here.  Max is in the hospital with we don't know what. He went in through the ER yesterday because of vomiting and high fevers,  got admitted to the floor overnight, and this morning is in the PICU.

I'm awake for a bit, and thought I should update on what I know. Max experienced intense pain last night, and uncontrolled shaking of his whole body. The emergency response team was called to his room on the floor and gave him very heavy doses of ativan to calm him, because we were unsure if he was having seizures or in pain. 

Once the ativan wore off in a couple of hours, the shaking and pain came back in full force. That's when he was moved to the ICU, and I was sent home. I have caught a stomach virus, which has caused me to be vomiting as well.

Steve is at the hospital with Max full time. They are going to be running more tests to see if they can figure out where the pain is coming from, since they were able to see it wasn't seizures with an EEG test.

Please keep us all in your prayers. For Max, that he'll be comfortable until we can figure out what is going on with his little body. For Steve, that he stays healthy so one of us can stay with him at all times. For Abbey, that she stays healthy. And for me, that I feel better soon and can get back up to my boy. And for the doctors to figure out what's going on soon so they can treat it.
